Stomach flu symptoms in children?

Question by livin4christ: Stomach flu symptoms in children?
I've posted before, but now I have a slightly different question. My youngest step son got a stomach bug last Sunday. Threw up all day Sunday to 2 am Monday morning Several times. His brother was complaining of a tummy ache Wednesday morning and was sleeping a lot.. he threw up once about 11:30. Then his mom picked him up and as of yesterday she said he never threw up anymore, but wanted to sleep a lot and complained of a headache all day Wednesday and yesterday. But she gave him tylenol when she got him on Wed. and he was playing and even eating. Then her other son, their half brother got it yesterday morning. We're pretty sure it was going around at the daycare that the 2 youngest go to. But we thought it was weird that the oldests symptoms were so different. Is this normal? It pretty much has to be the same bug, we'd think. Just curious what others think. I'm hoping it was just so we know that it has gone threw and my DH and I should be in the clear of getting it too. It was just weird to be so different. Any experience with this?
the youngest is 2, almost 3 in January.. he is in a regular daycare along with his half brother who is just over 1. His older brother will be 4 in December. He goes to Headstart and a different daycare after.. cause the one the other two are at only allows children up to 3. He obviously would have caught it from the 2 years old cause he is with him constantly. We just thought it was weird the symptoms were so different. He just threw up once and then was fine besides a bad headache for 2 days and wanting to sleep.

Best answer:
hi , u have not mentioned their age , if they are day care age kids then it might be some regular viruse infectin that is related to this symptoms at this age group, and regarding your doubt why each one has different version of manifestation and that depends on each persons level of health , and if you are afraid that you might get that too in that case by now for your age you should have developed resistance to most of the kids diseases
